I’m Surrey, a New Haven-based theater maker originally from a "right to farm" community and an old mill town in Massachusetts. I write about expansive Queerness in rural America, with one foot planted in reality and the other planted in the mouth of some unrelenting, gurgling creature. here’s some photos of my life

I’m 1/3 done with grad school, and that makes me feel a little ill if I’m being honest 💕💕💕
we made a play and then we ate some din din :’) it’s spring break, and now I have time to process the wonderful whirlwind that was NPL. I laughed! I cried! I made a new, expansive world with some amazing people! “Rest, Stop.”
luv is all around us ((my 1st semester of grad school is done?!))
holding a lot of global grief while also saying goodbye to this sweet boy today. Rocky was simply the best dog ever, and I feel so lucky he found our family and liked us enough to stick around for 13 years. (bonus baby Rocky pic at the end) 🐾🩵
